Club Love Ltd

Club Love Ltd is a queer-owned, sex-positive members club rooted in Bristol's underground kink and fetish scene. Founded and run by a queer team, it describes itself as a space where underground clubbing, queer liberation, and uninhibited self-expression collide. Events are held at The Loco Klub, a venue occupying the Victorian former Ash Pits beneath Bristol Temple Meads at Clock Tower Yard, BS1 6QH — a network of sprawling brick tunnels and raw industrial architecture that gives the nights a distinctly immersive, subterranean character. Annual membership is mandatory for main events and is subject to a safeguarding screening process; the team evaluates each application to confirm that prospective members understand the club's guidelines and ethos before approving access. Membership costs £38 plus VAT, paid in person at an event. The club operates three recurring event strands. The flagship Club Love nights run roughly monthly on Fridays or Saturdays, from 22:00 to 04:00, and are open to all approved members and their guests. The venue is configured with a main dance floor — music is curated by DJs spanning house, disco, tech house and breaks, with an emphasis on LGBTQI+ artists — alongside dedicated play spaces that include a fully rigged dungeon. Climax Clique is a separate strand for FLINTA attendees (Femme, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, Agender), running quarterly. Cottage, the third strand, is a cruising space and play party for cis and trans men and non-binary people aligned with gay male culture. A queer-led wellbeing team, trained by Bristol Drugs Project and Bristol Nights, staffs every event, and a traffic light safeword system (green, amber, red) operates across all shared play spaces. Condoms, dams, lube and safer-sex supplies are provided; solo entry into play spaces is not permitted, and staff assess sobriety and consent at the entrance to those areas. Dress code is strictly enforced: leather, PVC, latex, rubber, mesh, harnesses, drag, and fetish or kink-coded attire are the standard; everyday streetwear, denim, tracksuits and plain T-shirts are not admitted. A no-phones policy is absolute — devices must remain out of sight at all times, with immediate ejection and a permanent ban the consequence of any photography or recording. All events are 20-plus with valid photographic ID required. Tickets for each event are purchased separately via Headfirst Bristol; membership applications close at 5 pm the day before each event, and each member may bring one guest who must enter alongside them.
