Dominium Vita is a London-based private members society founded by Em Carter and Richard Burton, who built a community modelled on the culture of Ancient Rome — the club's name evoking complete ownership of one's life, its events referencing the opulent feasts and uninhibited pleasures of Roman society. The club has no fixed play premises: its registered address is a third-floor office on Paul Street in Shoreditch, but all events rotate across undisclosed private properties and hotels in London, with exact locations disclosed only to confirmed ticket-holders. Occasional events are also staged in Ibiza. The event calendar runs across several formats. Domus Luxuria nights are the main recurring play events. Carpe Noctem is the club's most theatrical production — described by the organisers as a night of dark theatrics and hedonism spread across five immersive spaces. Hidden Deviance gatherings convene in luxury private residences, opening with a social salon before dedicated playrooms. Monthly members socials at bars keep the wider community connected between play events, and a workshop strand has included sessions at the Mandrake Salon in Fitzrovia. BDSM apparatus is available at play events, with professional dominants on hand to guide unfamiliar guests. Entry is by membership only: applications are assessed personally by the founders against undisclosed criteria, and acceptance is not guaranteed. Tickets to events are sold on a first-come, first-served basis to approved members. The club welcomes singles, couples, and all genders; LGBTQ+ inclusive. Spectating is explicitly welcomed and participation is never required. A strict one-strike policy on consent violations applies — any breach results in immediate removal and permanent membership revocation.
