Leisure Time Club

Sitting on Zion Street in Hartford's West End, Leisure Time Club has been the cornerstone of New England's lifestyle scene since the early 1980s — now in its 44th year of continuous operation and widely cited as the longest-running swingers club in the United States. The venue spans three floors, opening each Saturday at 9 pm to a crowd of couples and single women who come for a reliably welcoming, no-pressure atmosphere. Downstairs, a live-DJ dance floor fitted with a stripper pole, professional sound and lighting anchors the social side of the evening; a large lounge area and a fully attended BYOB bar keep the conversational energy flowing between trips upstairs. The upper floors hold five themed recreation rooms — including a private room, a beginners' room, a voyeur room, and open-group spaces — alongside BDSM apparatus, a Tantra chair, two group showers, and towels-and-lockers facilities. Repeat visitors consistently praise the owners for personally welcoming newcomers and making introductions across the room. The atmosphere skews intimate rather than cavernous, with regulars and first-timers mixing easily from their mid-twenties to early sixties. Beyond the weekly Saturday night, Leisure Time runs a monthly Friday-evening Ladies Social, a women-only party for ladies who want to connect, dance and let go. The club draws from across Connecticut and within an hour's drive of Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island, giving it a regional catchment that keeps the crowd refreshingly varied. Single males are not admitted at any event. The venue is entirely smoke-free.
