Play Champagne is one of the Midwest’s largest lifestyle event organizers, operating as a traveling party producer rather than a fixed-address club. Founded and still run by owners Melissa and Eric, the operation specializes in complete hotel takeovers — booking every guestroom, the convention space, restaurant, and bar — at full-service Hilton-brand hotels across Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois, with regular Las Vegas editions and annual trips to Hedonism II in Jamaica. Flagship venues have included the Embassy Suites in Blue Ash (Cincinnati), Livonia MI, Indianapolis, Glenview IL, and Las Vegas. Typical weekends draw 1,200–1,600 attendees and span two nights, with a Friday check-in at 3 pm and checkout Monday morning. The programming is unusually dense for a hotel event: a five-story atrium main stage with award-winning lifestyle DJs, professional sound, lighting, and laser rigs; a 24-hour indoor pool (topless optional); a vendor showcase; meet-and-greet karaoke; drag shows; live bands; and a 360-degree video photo booth. Educational content includes couples sensory, Kama Sutra, and NURU massage classes, plus BDSM demonstrations, all with separate sign-up slots. Play areas include group and semi-private themed playrooms (typically in dedicated ballrooms), a Porn Play Escape group room, and an expanded Impact room for impact play opening nightly from around 11 pm. The famous top-floor afterparty runs from 1 am to dawn. Complimentary drinks are served nightly during a comp-bar window, and a full hot breakfast buffet with omelet station is included each morning. The crowd skews inclusive and body-positive, spanning roughly ages 28–55, and Play Champagne explicitly welcomes all body types and demographics. The vibe is upscale nightclub rather than underground party: VIP table service with reserved front-and-center seating is available, and off-duty police officers are stationed throughout the hotel. Dress code is dress-to-impress rather than enforced, though themed costume participation is strongly encouraged. The whole-hotel BYOB policy means guests bring their own alcohol to guest rooms and carry it in a covered tumbler into event spaces; a hotel cash bar is also on site.
