Route 69 occupies a basement space on the High Street in central Weston-super-Mare, Somerset — a long-running licensed lifestyle venue that bills itself as the South West's Friendliest Adult Club. The venue operates on a deliberately compact model, non-pushy in its approach, with staff who personally walk first-time visitors around the space before the evening gets under way. It welcomes straight and LGBT+ guests alike and pitches its atmosphere firmly on the social side of the spectrum. The venue is arranged around a lounge with a fully licensed bar, three lockable playrooms — one of which incorporates a gloryhole with a coverable viewing window — and a dungeon equipped with a St Andrew's Cross, a play swing, and stocks. Lockers are available on a key-swap system, and a heated, covered outdoor smoking area sits at the rear of the building. Towels, lube, wipes and condoms are stocked in every playroom; cock rings and wax candles are available at the bar. CCTV covers the social areas, though there are no showers on site.
