The Lifestyle Lounge

The Lifestyle Lounge sits on Liverpool Road in Eccles, a short distance from the Manchester city boundary, in a building that has housed one of Greater Manchester's most tenacious adult social clubs for over four decades. Originally trading as Adam and Eve's — widely described as one of the UK's oldest swingers bars — the venue was taken over by owner Kerry Voellner, who oversaw a full rebrand and renovation programme completed in April 2025. The result is a members-only club that explicitly courts couples, single women, LGBTQ+ guests, and those with an interest in kink, fetish, and BDSM, while retaining the community-social-club atmosphere that the site has carried since the 1980s. The club gained national attention when it featured in the Channel 5 documentary Adults: 24 Hour Sex, Up All Night. The venue occupies four themed floors fitted out for both social and play use. Amenities include a hot tub, jacuzzi, sauna, swing room, a dungeon, a bondage table, private rooms, a pool table, and individual lockers. Capacity is capped at approximately 80 members. The atmosphere is deliberately low-key and sober: the venue holds no alcohol licence, so guests bring their own within strict limits — up to four cans or a half-bottle per person. Phones are surrendered at the reception desk on arrival to protect members' identities, and are not permitted in any public area of the club. The club opens Wednesday and Thursday from 21:00 to 02:00, and Friday and Saturday from 20:00 to 03:00. Membership is required to attend, and the dress code is described as bright, kinky, and as bold as guests dare. A zero-tolerance drugs policy is in force, and the club is a participant in the Code Red safety network — a shared-exclusion arrangement spanning multiple venues across the North of England under which a ban at one member club applies automatically to all others.
