Winnipeg Couples Social Club

Winnipeg Couples Social Club (WCSC) is a Manitoba-based lifestyle community for couples who are in or interested in the swinging lifestyle. Founded as Prairie Swing Club in October 1999 and rebranded under its current name in March 2001, the club draws members from Winnipeg and an unusually wide regional catchment spanning Saskatchewan, northwestern Ontario, Minnesota, and North Dakota. With over 100 couple memberships and a volunteer executive, the club operates as a community-run organisation rather than a commercial venue. It holds membership in NASCA International and carries the EOLO (Equal Opportunity Lifestyle Organization) designation, affirming that membership is open to couples of all races and nationalities. As a non-venue club, WCSC does not maintain a permanent physical space. Social life centres on two categories of events: off-site functions — coffee nights, bar nights, and socials held at rotating Winnipeg locations — where no nudity, sexual contact, or drugs are permitted, and sexy clothing is welcome but BYOB is not; and on-site parties held in member homes or at a private club venue, which involve adult activity governed by the host's own rules. Typical off-site attendance runs 35–50 couples; private on-site gatherings attract 10–20 couples. Past events have included a New Year's Bash, a Valentine's social, and a Mardi Gras party. A standing weekly coffee night reportedly runs every Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at a centrally located Winnipeg cafe. Annual membership costs $10.00 CAD per couple, and grants access to a password-protected private website with member profiles, photos, and club announcements. Prospective members must contact the club by email; Winnipeg-area applicants are met in person, while out-of-towners are screened by telephone. Event attendance costs $25.00 CAD per couple. Cameras and recording devices are prohibited at all club functions without exception — members wishing to be photographed must request a management-taken photo, delivered digitally. The club primary rule: No means No, enforced with one warning, then expulsion.
