Annual Report

The State of Lifestyle Clubs in 2026

Last updated September 2026 · 478 venues tracked · Find Lifestyle Clubs

This is a primary-source report on the lifestyle and swinger club industry, computed from a census of 478 individually verified venues across 5 countries. As of September 2026, 381 are verified active. The US leads with 245 venues; the median US couples entry fee is $50; 33 closures are tracked.

Key Findings

  • Find Lifestyle Clubs tracks 478 lifestyle and swinger venues across 5 countries, of which 381 are verified as currently active.
  • The United States has the most tracked venues (245), spread across 45 states.
  • The median couples entry fee at a US club is $50, while single men typically pay about 1.4× that rate.
  • Of clubs with a stated singles policy, 44% admit single men at least some nights, 47% restrict them, and 10% are couples-only.
  • 51% of clubs with a known bar policy are BYOB rather than licensed — largely because venues permitting on-premise activity often cannot hold a liquor license.
  • The database records 33 verified club closures and rebrands, tracked rather than deleted.

BYOB vs Licensed Bars

Of 351 clubs with a verified bar policy, 51% operate BYOB (180 venues) rather than holding a liquor license (145 venues). In most US jurisdictions a venue permitting on-premise sexual activity cannot hold a liquor license, so members bring their own alcohol and the club provides mixers and setups. Licensed bars are more common among European venues.

Closures & Turnover

The database records 33 verified closures and rebrands, including venues replaced by a successor club at the same address. Closed venues are kept on record, not deleted, so a reader never drives to a dark building. See the closed clubs registry.

Methodology

Every figure is computed directly from Find Lifestyle Clubs' venue database — 478individually tracked venues across five countries, maintained by an editorial verification pipeline that reads each club's own website, pricing pages, and public records. Percentages are calculated against the subset of clubs with verified data for that field (sample sizes stated inline), never against the full directory. Entry-price figures use each club's lowest advertised standard entry price and exclude event and hotel-takeover packages. This report recomputes daily as the database updates, so the year and every number above stay current.
