The Wheel 687

The Wheel (formerly Club 687) is a private, appointment-only adult venue at 9 Steel Street in Newcastle West, New South Wales, serving the local lifestyle, kink, and conscious-sexuality communities. The facility houses six named play rooms and the Dungeon of Eden — a dedicated BDSM kink suite with bondage equipment — alongside four-poster beds, a four-person spa, stripper poles, and workshop areas. The venue is unlicensed and operates on a bring-your-own-alcohol basis throughout. Programming includes swingers nights, kink events, and Conscious Erotic Play Parties that open with a mandatory consent-and-boundaries workshop before play areas become accessible. The venue also hosts somatic sexologists, tantric teachers, sex therapists, and sex coaches as resident or visiting practitioners, and leases space to external event organisers. A separate bi-monthly event series, NCS (Nova Couples and Singles), draws couples and singles from the Newcastle area by invitation. All attendance is by prior appointment or ticketed booking through TryBooking; the booking model is structured so guests do not encounter other customers. A sister walk-in property, Discreet (discreet.net.au), operates at a separate address.
