Club Ménage

Club Ménage is a home-based lifestyle venue in the Silver Springs neighbourhood of NW Calgary, run by Matthew Mills since 2010. Bi-weekly parties historically drew 20 to 50 guests to a roughly 1,300-square-foot dedicated play space built into the residence, with a mingling area, kitchen, and four themed playrooms. Neighbours complained starting in 2015, and the City of Calgary issued a stop order in 2019, arguing the property was operating as an unpermitted "Social Organization" in a residential zone under the city's Land Use Bylaw. Mills challenged the order on Charter grounds (freedom of conscience and peaceful assembly).
