Inn Joy

Inn Joy was a swingers and gay-friendly couples club at Willem de Zwijgerstraat 2E in Budel, a small municipality in Noord-Brabant midway between Eindhoven and Weert. The club is permanently closed: the venue's own website lists every day as gesloten, the Dutch business register records KvK number 17161847 as no longer active, and a dedicated closure announcement was published by Gay News NL. During its years of operation, the club — run by a couple known to regulars as Ton and Nans — billed itself as de gezelligste parenclub van Nederland (the cosiest couples club in the Netherlands) and held Centraal Kwaliteitskeurmerk certification, the Dutch quality-mark scheme for adult venues. The standalone building sat on a large private car park and accommodated visitors across six themed rooms — among them a Mirror Room, a Red Room, and a Blue Room — as well as an upstairs darkroom and a bar corner equipped with a sling. A sauna, sunbeds, a staffed bar, and a kitchen producing cold buffets on weekday evenings and a warm-and-cold spread at weekends rounded out the communal areas. Entry was all-inclusive: towels, condoms, and non-alcoholic drinks were covered in the admission price, lockers were available at reception, and air conditioning ran throughout. The atmosphere, as described by visitors, leaned toward relaxed Brabant hospitality rather than the harder edge of a nightclub, with a dress code enforced from arrival — lingerie and heels or boots for women, boxer shorts or briefs for men. The weekly programme ran across five sessions: Monday evenings (20:00–01:00) were reserved for a gay and bi men-only night, Thursday ran a mixed bi evening, Friday and Saturday hosted open mixed sessions until 01:00–02:00, and a Sunday afternoon slot (14:00–20:00) catered to couples and women. Entry was priced by night and guest category, with couples paying €25–40, single women €0–15, and single men €55–65; all fees were all-inclusive covering the buffet and drinks. The club also operated a dedicated gay programme and had won recognition as the best gay party venue in Noord-Brabant.
