Penthouse Playrooms calls itself "a luxury playground for the lifestyle elite," taking its aesthetic cues from the hedonistic grandeur of Studio 54. Set inside a sprawling, beautifully renovated unit on High Street North in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, the club sits moments from junction 11 of the M1 and draws couples and adventurous individuals from across London and the Home Counties. It operates as a members club for swingers and fetish enthusiasts, with an especially warm welcome extended to the LGBTQ+ community, making it one of the more queer-inclusive lifestyle venues in the English Midlands. The venue spans 12 communal play areas and 8 lockable private rooms, rounded out by voyeur spaces with one-way mirrors, a dedicated couples-only lounge, a purpose-built dungeon, a wet area, and an outdoor terrace. A licensed bar with happy hour from 8–9pm anchors the social side of the evening, alongside a dance floor and relaxed mingle areas. The events calendar runs year-round through a rotation of themed nights — from the fetish-forward KinkyTease and LGBTQ+-centred Fluidity parties to the upscale Penthouse Party, which is reserved for couples and single ladies. Tickets are sold online in advance, with prices ranging from around £15 for single ladies to £35 per couple depending on the event, and a £10 surcharge applies at the door. Single males must hold an approved membership and book online — walk-in single-male entry is not available. Free parking for more than 50 cars is on site, directly opposite the Tesco Express on High Street North, and photo ID is required at the door for all guests.
