AfterDark is Edinburgh's premier private members swinging and kink club, originally known as "After Eight" before rebranding and moving to its current larger premises in October 2022. Located in a converted warehouse unit at Bankhead Workspace in Edinburgh's Sighthill area, the venue delivers an unexpectedly polished experience behind its industrial exterior. The spacious social lounge serves as the central hub, with atmospheric lighting setting the tone for the evening. Surrounding it are 9 dedicated play spaces of varying sizes — from intimate private rooms with doors to open play areas — plus a cinema room, dungeon/BDSM area, and a glory hole. Lockers are provided at the entrance (phones must be stored here), and changing rooms with showers and mirrors are available. Towels, condoms, and lubricant are provided throughout. First-timers are welcomed with a guided tour from staff covering the layout, rules, and etiquette. Membership is £20/year (arranged on first visit), with entry fees of £35 for couples and £40 for single males on weekends.
