The Ecclesia

The Ecclesia is a Glasgow city centre lifestyle and kink club combining swinging and BDSM/fetish communities under one roof. Founded in 2017 by event organisers with a background running alternative-lifestyle events across Scotland — including the Breaking Point annual event in Perth and club nights in Dundee — the venue opened in Glasgow in late 2019 following the closure of the city's long-running Sauchiehall Street dungeon. The club operates in the Hope Street and Merchant City area of the city centre on a near-community, non-profit basis. The venue spans nearly 3,000 sq ft across two connected spaces. A penthouse dungeon of around 500 sq ft across two rooms is equipped with a custom suspension murphy bed, suspension platforms, fetters wheels, bondage thrones, St Andrews crosses, cages, Sybian machines, fucking machines, and a rope tie platform. Social spaces are kept separate from the playrooms. Condoms, lubricant, and cleaning supplies are stocked throughout. A mandatory safety briefing precedes every event and a consent policy — with house safeword 'RED' — is enforced venue-wide. The event calendar includes Fun for All (FFA) mixed nights open to couples, singles, and groups (typically 8pm to midnight); Greedy Girls Gangbang nights; dedicated LGBT nights; ladies-only evenings; TV/CD admirer nights; kink workshops including rope education (typically 3pm to 8pm); and social speed-dating evenings with play-permitted afterparties. Private dungeon hire is available at £40 per hour or £200 for a full day. All tickets are sold in advance on a guestlist-only basis — the physical address is released only to confirmed attendees — and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Challenge 25 is enforced at the door.
