Club4Play launched on February 26, 2011, out of a conversation over drinks between a group of friends in the New England lifestyle community. Their very first event was held in a small but lively bungalow club, and within months they had graduated to hotel-attached venues, starting with a club takeover in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The road since then has been anything but straight — venue closures, a hotel turned family water park, and a stretch of difficulties that ended only when a couple with an 85-acre ranch in upstate New York invited them north for a camping weekend. That first outdoor event drew 186 people in the rain, and the annual RWS Campout became the group's signature offering. Today Club4Play operates out of Connecticut (with a registered base in Meriden), hosts events across Connecticut and Massachusetts and occasionally into upstate New York and Vermont, and is regarded as one of New England's largest and most upscale couples' lifestyle groups. The event format is built around hotel takeovers rather than a fixed venue. Club4Play books out private floors and ballroom space at full-service hotels, brings in DJs spinning dance and Latin music, and lays on late-night catered food for members at around 1 AM. Events are structured around a main ballroom party — the social hub where guests dance, mingle, and socialize — with private hotel floors reserved for members who want a more intimate environment. The group also affiliates with major lifestyle travel operators, listing partner events such as destination resort weeks and cruises alongside their own New England calendar. Club4Play describes its atmosphere as pressure- and stress-free, with a crowd drawn from across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and the broader New England region. Hosts Steve and Ann have built the group on the principle of treating every guest the way they would want to be treated themselves. Themed parties are taken seriously, late-night bites are included, and the production value runs well above what most regional groups deliver. Single males are not permitted; events are open to couples and single ladies only.
