DB Socials holds a singular distinction in New England: it is the region's longest-running on-premise lifestyle party, operating continuously since June 1999 — first out of Bridgewater, then quietly relocating to its current private location in Grafton, a suburb in Worcester County about an hour west of Boston. Host Barry has run every event since inception, and the format has stayed deliberately unchanged across more than two decades: small, intimate gatherings for full-swap couples and single women, designed to feel nothing like a commercial nightclub. Events run bi-monthly, opening at 7PM with a floating close around 11PM-midnight. There is no door charge; in lieu of a fee, guests are asked to bring food or snacks to share, along with their own beverage — alcohol is welcome, though intoxication is not. Music plays throughout and adult movies provide ambient backdrop, but the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The emphasis is on a small, intimate group setting rather than a large-scale venue experience. First-timers are welcome, but entry requires a brief phone call first — Barry needs to hear a woman's voice before directions to the private address are given out. That one rule says a great deal about DB Socials: a community built on trust and continuity, self-selecting for people who take the courtesy call seriously. Events are fully non-smoking throughout.
