Encounterz is a fully council-approved adult lifestyle venue set inside a heritage building at 86 Brisbane Street in the heart of Ipswich's CBD, Queensland. The club describes itself as a welcoming space for open-minded adults — including those interested in the swinging lifestyle and those who simply want to socialise in a relaxed setting — and makes clear from the outset that attendance carries no guarantee of interaction with other guests. The venue occupies a heritage building whose interior is divided into a bar room, a pool room, and multiple playrooms. Access to playrooms follows a door-and-blind convention: a closed door with blinds drawn signals full privacy; a closed door with open blinds invites watching from outside; and an open door indicates that guests may request entry. The club operates on a BYO policy — mixers, ice, and cups are supplied — with alcohol service stopping at 10 PM. Towels, condoms, and lubricant are provided throughout; shower facilities and a smoking area are on site; and lockers can be rented by the night ($5), month ($20), or year ($60). Themed events, which have included rope bondage, wax play, and electroplay demonstrations run in partnership with Open Door QLD, appear regularly on the calendar alongside standard social sessions. Doors open every Friday and Saturday from 6:30 PM to midnight. Entry is priced by membership status and guest type: couples pay $85 (non-member) or $75 (member), single males $90 (non-member) or $75 (member), and single females $40 (non-member) or $30 (member). Annual membership is $40 per couple, $50 for single males, and $30 for single females, and includes a loyalty card granting every fifth visit at half price. Single men must book in advance — reservations are used to manage gender ratios, and pre-purchased tickets take priority over walk-ins. Card payments attract a $1 surcharge. The dress code is enforced at the door: men must wear a collared shirt and closed shoes (no sneakers), and women must arrive in evening wear; the venue's stated policy is 'NO EFFORT NO ENTRY.'
