L'Orage is one of Montreal's oldest lifestyle clubs, founded in 1989 by Jean-Paul Labaye. The club gained national prominence through a landmark 2005 Supreme Court of Canada ruling — R. v. Labaye — which set the legal standard defining consensual adult clubs across the country. It operates as an on-premise members' venue in Montreal.
