Night Spa Halifax

Night Spa is Halifax's only mixed-gender, private-members, clothing-optional venue at 2199 Gottingen Street in the city's north end. Queer owned and operated, it grew out of a gay bathhouse that occupied the same space from 2003, relaunching under its current identity in August 2022 with over 5,000 active members. The venue bills itself as Atlantic Canada's Adult Playground and is aimed at people already experienced in alternative or kink lifestyles — newcomers are explicitly advised to attend other community events before applying. The space includes a hot tub (four-person limit, no-play zone), a dry sauna, showers, social areas, 15 private rooms, and a darkroom with a sling, spanking bench, open play area, and glory holes including a gender-neutral Portal floor-level anonymous-encounter space with a whiteboard for communicating limits. Disinfectant stations and community barrier-protection supplies are available throughout. Regular members-only programming runs Tuesday nights (Naked Rockband Game Night, 8 pm-midnight), Fridays (mixed-gender themed party, 10 pm-3 am), Saturdays (meet-and-greet 8-10 pm, open play to 3 am), and Sundays (Masc-i-nee, a masculine-focused bathhouse-style night, 4-8 pm). Special events include a monthly TNG night (ages 19-35), quarterly Femmes and Themmes nights, a Couple's Only Swingers Night on long weekends, and a monthly Night's Paw event for pups, furs, and handlers. Membership application is free and takes 5-7 days; no walk-in or same-day entry.
