The Freaky Rock

The Freaky Rock is a swinger lounge beside the Schleusenkanal in Geesthacht, a small Elbe-side town roughly 35 kilometres southeast of Hamburg. Operated by Tanja and Matthias Ullrich — who together bring more than twenty years of experience in the lifestyle sector — the venue has occupied its current address for over twelve years, making it one of the more long-established clubs in Schleswig-Holstein. The owners describe it as the 'somewhat different swinger club', with a strict no-professional-workers policy and a focus on an amateur, community-driven atmosphere. The interior spans approximately 400 square metres and can accommodate up to around 150 guests. Facilities include a bar and buffet, a dance floor fitted with a pole, dedicated changing rooms and showers, lockable couple rooms, open play areas, a wellness section with sauna and hot tub, BDSM equipment including a St. Andrew's cross, and an outdoor area with a separate enclosed smoking section. The club is explicitly LGBTQ+ inclusive and designated a transgender safe space, with gender-neutral restrooms on site. The entrance and car park are wheelchair-accessible. The Freaky Rock runs an event-driven weekly programme rather than fixed nightly hours, with times published ahead of each event via its JOYclub listing. A typical week covers a Tuesday evening party, a Friday Croque Night, a Saturday rock-themed evening centred on Rammstein and Onkelz, and a Sunday Genießer Brunch. Gay and bi-male nights also appear in the regular calendar. First-time visitors are offered an optional guided tour of the venue. Advance registration is mandatory — walk-ins are not accepted.
