The Red Rooster

Seven miles east of the Strip in the residential Whitney neighborhood, The Red Rooster occupies a sprawling stand-alone house at 6405 Greyhound Ave — the only such structure on the block — that has grown from its original 800-square-foot footprint in 1983 to over 12,000 square feet of on-premise lifestyle space. Founded by husband and wife Mike and Chris Borchers as an informal house party, it is the longest-running swingers club in Las Vegas. The main floor wraps around a central dance floor lit by a disco ball, with lounge seating, a pool table (free), two staffed BYOB check-in bars, an indoor pool and hot tub, and a large open group playroom. An outdoor patio with heaters serves as the designated smoking area. Upstairs is a couples-only zone — open Fridays and Saturdays only — guarded by a bouncer who requires guests to be in a towel or less to pass. That floor holds multiple private rooms, each with lockable doors, available to any couple. The group room downstairs is open to all guests for play or voyeurism; beds are reserved for participants. Lockers are provided near both the front bar and the indoor pool, with a $10 deposit for a rental lock. The club runs Wednesday and Thursday 9pm–2am, Friday and Saturday 9pm–3am, and Sunday 8pm–2am, closed Monday and Tuesday. Entry is by cash donation at the door — no reservations required. Suggested donations: couples $40; single women $10 Wed–Sat; single men $80 Wed–Thurs, $100 Fri–Sat. All guests must be 25 or older; photo ID is checked at the door. The venue is strictly BYOB — no alcohol is sold — with complimentary mixers, sodas, and water available at both bars. Food is served on weekend evenings. Theme nights and holiday parties are a regular fixture.
