The Sublime Society

The Sublime Society is a monthly erotic performance event series staged at Dear Darling, a luxury bar and nightclub at 91 Jermyn Street in Mayfair's St. James's district, a short walk from Green Park station. Co-founded by burlesque artist Charlie Bouquett and House of Fatale founder Missy Fatale, it presents itself as an "exclusive hedonistic soirée" — a voyeur-forward sensual salon in which live burlesque, shibari suspension, fetish performance, and sapphic dominance play unfold in close proximity to a seated and standing audience. The project carries an explicitly FLINTA-centered artistic policy: all performers identify as femme, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, or asexual, and the organisers have publicly committed to exclusively female-identifying performers for their London editions. Dear Darling occupies a double-level footprint. The main salon — called The Living Room — holds 50 seated and up to 160 standing guests among wood-panelled walls, plush sofas, velvet armchairs, green drapery, and low crystal-strung chandeliers. There is no raised stage: performers move through the room itself, and mirrored ceilings provide sightlines from multiple angles while a rigged shibari frame hosts rope suspension pieces. Below, reached only through what the venue calls Lady Darling's wardrobe — a concealed door — sits a basement nightclub with capacity for around 160, featuring avant-garde décor and a DJ booth; this space operates as the afterparty venue for Sublime Society ticket-holders from approximately 11pm. A curated cocktail menu runs throughout both levels. Events run roughly monthly on Friday evenings, with doors at 7:00–7:30pm and the performance programme concluding between 10:15pm and 11:30pm depending on format; the basement afterparty continues to 2:00am. A secondary format, The Sublime Society: SALON, runs shorter evenings (7:00–10:30pm) and layers a live podcast recording and a participatory BDSM impact-play workshop onto the shibari performance. Tickets are sold exclusively in advance via DesignMyNight; standard general admission sits between approximately £38 and £65 depending on the event, with couples packages at a 20% reduction and three-person packages at 30% off. A VIP tier adding reserved lounge seating and basement nightclub access runs £59–£80, and a Meet and Greet add-on (£20–£22) provides post-show access to the cast.
