Vault 139

Vault 139 is a gay cruise bar occupying a basement space at 139–143 Whitfield Street in Fitzrovia, central London W1T 5EN, a short walk from Warren Street and Goodge Street tube stations. Billing itself as London's sexiest cruise bar, it operates seven days a week from 1pm to 1am and caters exclusively to men aged 18 and over, drawing a loyal clientele in what the venue describes as a no-frills, welcoming underground environment. The venue sits 20 steps below street level, giving it a genuinely subterranean character. Inside, facilities include a large dark room equipped with a sling, beds, and two barrels; several smaller private rooms each fitted with a bed; four gloryholes; a second smaller dark room; and a free changing room and cloakroom. Large bags and suitcases can be stored for £2. A fully licensed bar serves a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks until 12:30am Monday to Saturday and midnight on Sundays; chilled tap water is free throughout. Free Wi-Fi is available, with login details at the bar. Mobile phones are restricted to the bar area, and photography is banned outright in all cruising spaces. Sessions run in two daily blocks — an afternoon cruise (1pm–7pm) and an evening session (7pm–1am) — with the evening theme rotating across the week: NKD (strictly naked, footwear permitted, harnesses allowed) on Mondays and Thursdays; standard Cruise (fully clothed) on Tuesdays and Fridays; Underwear (boxers, speedos, jockstraps, G-strings, harnesses — no shirts or trousers) on Wednesdays and Sundays; and All or Nothing (any dress code) on Saturday evenings and Sunday nights. General admission is £14 for non-members and £13 for members; admission includes a free first drink, free coat check, and free same-day re-entry. Discounted £5 entry is available to students and Blue Light or CAC card holders on Tuesdays, and to under-25s on Wednesdays and Sundays. Membership is free via the venue's app (iOS and Android), which provides a digital loyalty card offering one complimentary entry for every five paid visits.
