EyS Nightclub

EyS occupies the first floor of an unremarkable building on Bramfelder Strasse in Hamburg Barmbek-Nord. Owners Caiti and Chris have leaned hard into 1990s nightclub aesthetics: a non-smoking main bar room of around 60 square metres packed with sofas, seating nooks, and a bar, plus a larger smoking lounge of approximately 80 square metres. A mini-boutique near the entrance sells frivolous clothing, jewellery, and adult toys. The overall feel is of a neighbourhood bar that happens to have playrooms tucked behind it, rather than a sex venue that happens to have a bar. There is no formal entry fee — just a drink minimum (first drink €10–15, gender-priced) — and single men are admitted subject to gender balance on the night, with groups of more than two men not admitted.
